I know setting New Year goals and resolutions has been a thing for ages, but I believe setting a bucket list sounds way more fun than goals or resolutions.
It takes away all the pressure that setting goals or resolutions brings, at least for me, I feel a sense of excitement about the things I want to experience this year.
You see, I said “experience,” not “achieve.” This wording changes the whole perspective on creating something for yourself.
We’ve always been taught to set goals and achieve them as a form of accomplishment, and there isn’t anything wrong with that. But we often forget that those goals are experiences to be lived rather than achievements to be checked off.
Whether it’s starting a business, getting in shape, or travelling to a certain country, all of it is an experience we get to live as we do it, more than an achievement.
The word “achievement” makes it more ego-centric, and the focus shifts to ticking off the milestones rather than enjoying the experience. You get what I mean?
Anyway, enough with the rant – let’s get straight to business.
But first, Pin it for later

The year 2027, for me and I wish for you too, to be filled with days of feeling present, slowing down, trying something new just for the fun of it, letting your creative side shine, and a version of yourself that is deeply connected to its intuition.
As long as you and I start this new year with intentions that feel deeply connected to our souls, I know we’ll be moving toward our best year yet!
I don’t know how your 2026 has been so far… I’d love to know in the comments!
For me, 2026 felt stagnant in a lot of ways. Even though I graduated in my dream city, I had to say goodbye to London, which I hadn’t planned when the year started.
I’m currently trying to build a career while figuring out so many other aspects of my life… but I know it’s all going to make sense eventually.
The one thing I’ve been tapping into more is intuition – what truly feels like my calling, and leaning into that rather than focusing on ticking off lists.
How do you want 2027 to feel for you? Tell me in the comments. <3
2027 New Year Bucket List:
Now it goes without saying that nothing on this list is mandatory. Some ideas may resonate, and some may not. Use what feels relevant and ignore the rest.
- Eat more balanced meals: enough with the diets and protein-freak trends, the focus is on eating three balanced meals a day.
- Step outside the house more! I notice a huge difference in my mental health the moment I leave home… 2026 was spent mostly at home, I guess. All my fellow homebodies, let’s get some air!
- Find a new local coffee shop: one of my favorite things about my life in London was looking for a new local café in the city every month, and I highly recommend it.
- Explore an offline creative outlet: with things getting more digital, I feel art needs a comeback ASAP, and we all need to get up and start creating something messy and beautiful.
- Make a vision board/moodboard of how you want your life to look.
- Send a handmade letter to a friend: this year I wrote a letter to my friend, bidding goodbye as I was leaving London. It had been years since I’d written one, and I want to do this more in 2027.
- Try baking your go-to favorite dessert instead of buying it.
- Read that book that’s been sitting on your shelf!
- Start journaling once a week, at least (shadow prompts, morning pages).
- Send 10 cold emails to your dream university/job.
- Go on a yoga retreat.
- Pick a new show to watch.
- Host a dinner night with strangers (stay woke, though).
- Post a video online.
- Start a conversation with a random stranger.
- Walk barefoot on the grass.
- Take the risk and travel somewhere.
- Knit a sweater for your favorite person.
- Write yourself a letter about everything that happened in 2026 (keep it or burn it).
- Play a board game.
- Go to a community event solo.
- Try making latte art at home (on my list, 100%).
- Learn about your personal astrological birth chart.
- Get a blood test done to keep your health in check.
- Add cozy decor to your home.
- Declutter your phone and laptop.
- Experiment with a new fashion style.
- Write a gratitude list.
Let me know in the comments if there’s anything I missed in the new year 2027 bucket list !
