Over the years, if there is one thing I have realized, it is –
Life is not as complicated as we make it with our mind,
Somewhere deep down, we already know this, but we don’t let it sink in ever
We feel attached to people and places around us so much that it gets hard to let go
The good thing is that it is possible to make life a bit simpler than what it is now with the help of building some habits
But before we get into that,
What makes life less simple and more complicated in the first place?
When we enter into this material world, we know that our life does not just consist of us alone.
It includes so many things that we are surrounded, by people, nature, things, lifestyle, habits, and our relationships with all of these things.
All of these things come into our lives again and again
However, while people, things, and nature – all are beautiful things to exist
Sometimes, some of these things add more harm than good
A person or a thing that is not good for us, but we are attached to it. Over our life gets filled cluttered with these things
Making us feel our life is complicated,
Now, we don’t have to make ourselves a loner by not letting things or people in our lives.
But we need to become mindful of whom and what we are welcoming and engaging ourselves with
When this is not done, life gets less simple and more complicated in the long run…
Life is not complicated on its own, it’s the things we add to our lives that make it.

And that’s all we need to focus on to simplify our lives! I will share more practical steps you can do to add essentials and remove the rest from your life.
1. Focus on yourself
One of the most important things to do is to focus on yourself first, then anything else.
We look at others, and what they are doing and spend so much time observing what others are doing.
Whether it is through gossip scrolling on social media or comparing your life to others
All of this makes your life neglected and complicated because you are paying more attention and energy to their life than yours!
Whereas if you start focusing inside rather than the outside world, things will get easier, positive, and simpler
There will be room for growth, and you will be connected to yourself
Stop looking at others’ lives and pay attention to yourself only
2. Value the time you have now
Time is limited, we can have only 24 hours in a day, and it can never increase,
Most of our life, we look back and think, if only I had more time, or started doing things early.
I would have achieved this or that, because we forget the time we have now and neglect to do things that waste time
The time you have, once gone cannot come back again, that’s why whatever you do every day, every second.
Do it with the thought all you have is now.
It will help you be mindful, of the things you need to prioritize and make your life better.
Stop doing things for pleasure, to please others, or how it will make you look.
Focus on things you want to do and start doing them now

3. Change your habits
I always say this, our habits sum up our life, because it is the things we do every day!
If you want to do anything, start with habits!
For example: If you want to learn how to drive, then you have to make a habit of going every day for driving lessons.
If you want to get fit, you have to make a habit of eating healthy and exercising consistently.
So to make your life simpler, you need to observe,
4. Keep only meaningful belongings
Our life also gets complicated because of the amount of belongings we have in our home
Here are a few reasons why keeping less makes life simpler
- Clutter Reduction: Having fewer items means less clutter in your living space. Clutter can create visual and mental stress, making it harder to relax and focus in your home.
- Improved Organization: Fewer items are easier to organize. You can more effectively assign specific places for your belongings, making it easier to find what you need when you need it.
- Easier Cleaning: Cleaning a space with fewer items is faster and more efficient. You’ll spend less time dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining your living space.
- Increased Mobility: With less stuff, you’ll have more room to move around freely. This can be particularly important in smaller living spaces where every square foot counts.
- Reduced Stress: A clutter-free environment can contribute to reduced stress and anxiety. It can help create a sense of calm and order in your living space.

Just like things, people in our life have a huge impact. Relationships in our lives determine almost everything.
The quality of relationships we have, whether healthy or unhealthy, determines if our life will be positive and simple or stressful and complicated.
I am sure you would know what I mean if you had a person in your life who was dear to you but also toxic.
How much it affected your peace and the quality of your life!
That’s why, always be mindful of the people you stay close to and connected to!
6. Stop complaining or being a victim of life.
One of the important habits that will simplify your life forever is stopping complaining all the time!
It is something I recently learned that has made my life more peaceful
Before, I was someone, who used to complain a lot, feel like a victim, and stress about the negative things that would happen.
It only made me more unhappy, no good came out of it, Nobody helped me, and I found no solution either.
I was stuck, in a negative space by complaining all the time about my misery.
But once I decided to stop complaining and start taking action on things I control, not only did my mental health improve
But the problems started to feel small as well.
The truth is, whenever things go wrong, we start to complain because it is easier to be a victim than to stand and be courageous.
We keep complaining about why and how things are like this, but we struggle to make an effort to change it.
There are things you can change because you have control over them, and so you must give your best
But some things are out of our control, and the only thing we can do is let go and make peace with it.
Trust me, Once you start doing it, your life will get simpler and more peaceful
7 Be open to Challenges
Lastly, be open to challenges and go out of your comfort zone
When you keep yourself stuck in comfort, you do not grow and life feels hard
In your mind, the challenges may seem hard, for a moment, but in reality, once you do start doing it, you realize it is not as hard as you thought it would be
But if you never take that step, it will always feel hard, life will feel hard and complicated
Take the challenges and grow!
So these were 7 habits that will simplify your life forever, according to me.
I have noticed most of the complications we feel in life come from not following these 7 habits.
I know it might seem, difficult to adapt to these things, but as slowly start doing them.
You will realize how great and life-changing it is
